Riverbend Appraisals Ltd. respects your privacy. This page explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
- Your request. When you request an appraisal, we collect your name, email, phone number, the property address, the purpose of the appraisal, any date of value you provide, how you heard about us and any message you include.
- How you found us. We record the page you first landed on, the website that referred you and, if you arrived from an ad, the campaign details and click identifier your browser passed to us. This is stored in a first-party cookie for up to 90 days.
- Site analytics. We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to understand how the site is used and which advertising works. These services set their own cookies.
How we use it
- To respond to your request, prepare a quote and deliver your appraisal.
- To understand which marketing brings people to us, including reporting to Google Ads when a request becomes a booked appraisal.
- To send occasional market and appraisal updates, only if you tick the box on the form. You can unsubscribe at any time.
We do not sell your personal information.
Where it is stored
Requests are stored in our client management system (Jobber) and in a secure database used by this website. Email notifications are sent through a transactional email provider. These service providers may store information outside Canada, and they are bound to protect it.
Spam protection
The request form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated submissions. Turnstile may process technical information about your browser for that purpose.
Your choices
- You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you.
- You can withdraw newsletter consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
- You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
